A devastating car crash in Kings County left two men dead on Sunday evening.

The accident happened just before 8:30 p.m. at the busy intersection of Highway 41 and Lacey Boulevard, just north of Lemoore.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a man driving a truck was heading north on Highway 41 when a Honda driver on Lacey Boulevard failed to stop and entered the intersection. The two vehicles collided with such force that both overturned, ejecting the drivers from their cars.

Tragically, neither man survived the crash. Officials confirmed that neither driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

It’s unclear if alcohol or drugs played a role, but investigators are continuing to look into the cause of the collision.

This heartbreaking incident serves as a sobering reminder of the importance of wearing seatbelts and driving cautiously, especially at high-risk intersections.
