A tragic accident in Sacramento claimed the life of a woman on Tuesday evening, June 3, in the parking lot of a Bel Air grocery store on Rush River Drive. Around 6 p.m., Sacramento Police responded to reports of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. When officers arrived, they found a woman pinned between two vehicles with severe injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities later identified the victim as 36-year-old Linda Angelica Tracy, a Sacramento resident. According to police, she appears to have been the one operating her own vehicle when it accidentally struck and pinned her between another parked car. Two children were inside her vehicle at the time of the incident but were unharmed. The cause of the crash remains unclear, though investigators confirmed it was not a hit-and-run.

Linda’s death has been officially classified as a motor vehicle accident by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office. Her passing has left a deep void in the lives of those who knew and loved her. Two Killed in Semi-Truck Crash on I-10 in Cathedral City

A devastating crash on Interstate 10 in Cathedral City early Thursday morning claimed the lives of two men and left several others injured. The multi-vehicle collision occurred near Date Palm Drive around 6:40 a.m. when a westbound semi-truck lost control, crossed the center divider, and overturned into the eastbound lanes, colliding with oncoming traffic. Dashcam footage captured the terrifying moment the big rig veered into the opposite lanes. The Riverside County Coroner’s Office later identified the victims as 58-year-old Francisco Sicairos Leon of Desert Hot Springs and 49-year-old Miguel Macias of Santa Ana. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck survived the crash but sustained injuries. The collision caused significant traffic delays, shutting down all eastbound lanes for several hours. CHP officers reopened lanes 1 and 2 by 9:00 a.m., but the freeway wasn’t fully cleared and reopened until 2:20 p.m. as investigators and cleanup crews worked through the aftermath. According to CHP Officer David Torres, there were no signs that the semi-truck driver experienced a medical emergency, nor was there evidence of tire failure or substance impairment. Investigators are now focusing on other possible causes, such as fatigue, distracted driving, or mechanical failure. The California Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation into the cause of the crash.
