Fatal Crash Near French Camp Ends in Tragic Outcome
Tragedy struck near French Camp on Sunday when a collision resulted in the death of a driver attempting to pass another vehicle. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the incident occurred around noon at the intersection of Bowman and Manthey roads.
CHP reports indicate that a Nissan Ultima, driven by a 31-year-old man from Stockton, was traveling at high speed behind a black Mazda 3. The driver attempted to pass the Mazda but collided with oncoming traffic instead. The Nissan lost control, overturned multiple times, and finally came to rest upright.
Sadly, the driver of the Nissan, who was not wearing a seatbelt, succumbed to the injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, including whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
