Investigators concluded that a Moreno Valley woman was killed by neighborhood dogs in her home last week. The dogs responsible for the attacks were said to be mixes between Weimaraner and the breed with the highest dog bite death and injury rate, a Pit Bull.
Moreno Valley Sgt. Jaime Briones says a forensic dentist determined that the dog bite injuries were indeed the leading cause of death.
Police will ask Riverside County prosecutors to file involuntary manslaughter charges against the dog owners, whose names have not been disclosed. The dogs have been quarantined.
