KCRA reports that a Lincoln man has been arrested for driving drunk and causing a head on collision that killed 53 year old resident of Live Oak.
Suspected DUI Auto Accident Fatality
The fatal auto accident occurred on Sierra College Blvd near Twelve Bridges wednesday morning. CHP responded to the accident at 6:20am, where they pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The drunk driving suspect was traveling northbound when he crossed into the southbound lane, hitting a minivan head on. The suspect was taken to Sutter Roseville Medical Center via helicopter, where his injuries were treated shortly before being arrested on suspicion of drunk driving. The suspect remains in the hospital in critical condition.
Another driver was also struck head on by the suspect when his van spun out of control after the initial collision. The third driver involved but did not suffer any injuries.

The victim is the second Sutter County resident to be killed in a suspected drunk driving crash within the last week. On November 7th, Sutter County Sheriff’s Deputy Rory Roguski was killed while riding passenger alongside a drunk driver.
